Sugnall Walled Garden Wedding

Sugnall Walled Gardens Wedding.

I’ve been dying to blog this wedding so I’ve got my finger out and done it!
Chloe and Mark got married at what has to be one of my favourite wedding venues so far.
Sugnall Walled Gardens in Staffordshire. It’s a 275 year old, two acre rural venue that grows 50 varieties or pear and 100 different types of apples. As a wedding photographer this venue is right up my street personally. It has old walls, trees, rustic out buildings and lot’s of little areas to sneak off to for ten minutes alone time. It was Chloe and Mark’s choice of venue for their October wedding.

Wedding ceremony in peach house.

The former Peach House took centre stage for the ceremony, which being a mainly glass built building, on this day it was flooded with lots of lovely natural light – ideal for photo taking. During the ceremony Chloe was quite emotional, luckily the registrar had a packet of tissues on hand! After the formal bit was done guests headed into the marquee located within the garden, for the reception and wedding breakfast. During the drinks reception Penkhull ukulele band played songs to guests. Tables were decorated in a rustic/vintage afternoon tea theme, with beautiful flowers provided by Brown Sugar Blooms in Staffordshire.

Ted Baker shoes and pumpkins!

Being October there were some pretty impressive pumpkins growing within the garden which just had to be used in the photos, we were also treated to amazing Autumnal colours and leaves on the ground, not to mention ‘urchins’ that got stuck to Chloe’s Elle Louise Bridal dress. Mark saved the day by picking them out……one by one. I loved how much Chloe and Mark smiled during the entire wedding day and ever the fashionista in her Ted Baker heels, this didn’t stop Chloe from getting up and on some huge hale bales!

Laid back, relaxed wedding.

The whole wedding was really relaxed and laid back, and at the end of the day guests gathered round a fire pit outside with drinks to round the evening off.

Sugnall Walled Gardens is great for a wedding. Contact me if you have booked there for your wedding.
