Bridesmaids steaming dresses!
This wedding, so far holds the title for ‘the funniest moment’…..and it is going to be one to beat that’s for sure!
Danni was getting ready at home which is where I started the day. Also at the house were her collection of bridesmaids, her Mum and later on, her Dad.
All the pretty usual pre wedding things were happening. There were lovely candles burning, hair and make up being done (no mean feat when there are six bridesmaids and one bride to get through!), finishing touches added to a speech and dresses to be steamed. – Now when it came to this bit, a floor steamer was pulled out of a box and plugged in….steam came hissing out flying everywhere, the control switch wasn’t controlling anything, so the steamer continued to steam! Four bridesmaids tried to get it under some sort of control…it wasn’t having any of it and it certainly wasn’t getting any creases out!
In the end the unruly machine had to be shoved out the front door!
Luckily Danni’s Dad took himself, the dresses and an iron upstairs and sorted the creases!
Relaxed Wedding in Melbourne, Derbyshire.
After the ceremony in Melbourne parish church, everyone headed to Amalfi White – somewhere Danni and Rich knew they loved and where they would feel comfortable and relaxed.
Danni wore a stunning Maggie Sottero dress, the ballroom at Amalfi White had beautiful lighting and the cake was a tower of doughnuts.
They wanted a very relaxed day full of lovely food and drinks and their favourite people and from where I was standing, that’s exactly what they got.
Amalfi White wedding.
Amalfi White was the perfect place for Danni and Rich to hold their wedding reception. It’s a beautiful Victorian building in the heart of Melbourne, Derbyshire. The cocktail bar downstairs kept their guests watered before they headed upstairs to the stunning ballroom for some delicious food.
It was great for me to nip over the border from Staffordshire into Derbyshire to photograph this lovely wedding.
