When an email from Lauren and Martin landed in my inbox, asking me to photograph their wedding at The Holford Estate I was pretty pleased. When they said they wanted photos of their dogs, it was a done deal.
I had met them when I photographed the wedding of Jo and Luke and it was a massive compliment that they got in touch wanting me to photograph their wedding.
Natural, relaxed wedding photography.
As a Holford Estate wedding photographer it was easy for me to create just the kind of pictures Lauren and Martin were after. They knew that they wanted their photos to capture the natural beauty of the place, and be out and about in nature. As well as lots of green/trees/views/flowers – the estate provided us with all of this.
My style of photo taking also suited them both as in Lauren’s words, ‘I hate formal stuff. I hate having to look a certain way. Or act a certain way. I hate posing seriously for photos and having everyone stare at me.’ So I kept things nice and relaxed and didn’t set anything up. I just captured what was happening naturally.
Some of these moments included a beautiful outdoor ceremony, dogs eating ice-cream, quite a serious game of rounders and Lauren and Martin having five minutes out together to enjoy the last of the sun.
Lauren looked amazing in her Ivory and Co wedding dress and the stunning flowers by Green Earth Flowers, all made it a day to remember.
The Holford Estate Weddings.
This was my first time photographing a wedding at the Holford Estate and I’m hoping it won’t be my last!
